Some thoughts on Christmas

I know everyone always says that Christmas time is their favorite time of year. For a while I didn't want to say it just because everyone said it. But, I can no longer deny myself of the truth. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!
~I love anything festive.
~I love that Oreos have red frosting.
~I love that the ads are filled seasonal fun.
~I even love the "Happy Honda-days" commerical.
~I love Christmas lights and buying Christmas candy.
~Tonight my mom and I made fudge, toffee and cookies for goodie plates.
~I love the movie The Christmas Story.
~I love when people say Merry Christmas.
~I love wrapping presents. I don't Christmas shop until maybe 3 weeks until Christmas. The more frantic, crazy, crowded and last minute the better.
~I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree.
~I love love love my stocking.
~I love that I really did believe in Santa for so many years.
~I love to read Luke 2. I could stare at a Nativity scene for hours. My mom bought me a new Willow Tree Nativity this year, but I'm too afraid to get it out of the box.
~I love that 95.1 plays Christmas music all day long.
~I love Christmas cards and this year we even went on a Christmas sleigh ride.
~I love adding a new ornament to the tree every year.
~I love giving gifts (I also love surprises) and seeing the look on their faces.
~I love the special musical sacrament meetings and reindeer antlers for dogs.
~I wouldn't say I love the Salvation Army bell ringers, but I do like their slogan of "when you put money in our kettle, expect CHANGE". I think that's clever.
~I love that our country honors Jesus Christ and that we get to celebrate His birth.
~I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.
