Crafty

THE CAKE: This project has taken a lot of time and many members of my family to help me get it done. For Primary this year I wanted to get away from giving goodie baggies out for birthdays, so I thought we could have a birthday cake and the kids could get a birthday pencil. I know, a lame pencil compared to a cool bag of cheap toys hardly seems fair, but I thought a cool cake would somehow soften the blow. No, it's not real. Thanks to Darryl for drilling holes, thanks to Sam and Jo for cutting all the cardboard and having hand cramps for a week. Thanks to mom for making the frosting and helping me frost it and taking it to Linda Cherry to fix my attempt of frosting it . Thanks to Jo again for helping me make it usable (the orignal holes were too smal). In the end we have a beautiful fake cake that I am so proud of, but in reality, what did I even do to help?
See, there are holes for the pencils to stick out it. Hopefully this cake lasts the whole time I'm primary president because this is a project I'm not willing to repeat anytime soon.
Another project I finally got done. I made this for Joshua's room. I started a long time ago, and it's still not hung, but Nick can help me with that. Originally I wanted to tie each letter up separately, but it's so much cuter with the knots all strung on one piece of ribbon. (Again, thanks Jo).

1 I've got something to say:
