Sam's Birthday

Sam's typical picture face and Mom's usual picture face. How different!!!

Sam's birthday dinner at Fortunatto's restaurant. It's a small restaurant Sam discovered on his way home one day. It was small, but delish. We had the whole back room to ourselves. To this point, this picture is the best of Sam I've ever seen.

So, my little brother is turning 23. Crazy. He is a good boy. He is good to his family and friends. He is in the nursing program at Chico State. He gets good grades and works hard. He is so funny. He loves Joshua and Joshie lights up when he sees Sam. Sam and I used to dance to Dolly Parton's song Working Nine to Five. I had to give Sam a tour around Central before he started school, I had to give Sam a tour around LP before he started school there, I had to give Sam a tour around Butte before he started there and I had to give Sam a tour around Chico State before he started there. Funny story: So, as we were on our Butte tour we were in the library and I happened to mention, "oh, there's a bathroom there" not realizing that because I only showed him one bathroom he thought there was only one bathroom...on all of campus. So, as he was planning out his classes for the next semester he was saying he didn't want any classes in a certain building because it wouldn't give him enough time to get to the bathroom in between classes. Imagine his delight when he learned each each building actually has it's own bathroom. I laugh every time I think of that story.
