So, we celebrated Joshua's birthday over the weekend because Nick is out of town this week and of course dada had to be there. So, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. He had never been and this would be a good opportunity for him to get to run and play. When Chuck E. Cheese came out to sing happy birthday and lead the parade Joshua was so long gone. He found other things much more entertaining. I was more bummed that he missed the show. He couldn't care less.
Dancing
This is what he would have rather done. And, as it turns out we only needed to buy one token because he would roll the same ball back and forth and never make it into the circles. Turns out earning tickets and actually playing the game is only one way to have fun.
We came back to the house and had his CARS party. He had his own tire cake. It turned out cute. (A girl from Firestone made the cakes for us.)
Games. Nick and I (ok, more me than him) planned some games for the night. First we put a picture on every one's back and they had to ask yes or no questions to figure out who they were and then recite a line of theirs from the movie. Sam was Flo. Another game was our own version of the race around Wiley's Butte. We timed Joshua going up the stairs (14 seconds) and then we all raced up, trying to beat his time. I think Mike won with the best time.
Here is a group shot. I thought we were all suppose to be showing off our new Cars tattoos we all got, but as I look at this picture it looks like I am the only one. By the way, Joshua is not a fan of tattoos. He screamed when Nick put it on him. He tried biting it off. We just laughed and moved on. He didn't want to open any gifts, we had to put the movie Cars on just to get him to sit in the room with us. It's pretty much what we expected from a 2nd birthday party.
