LaNell is 29!!! today. Not that it matters too much, but every year once LaNell has her birthday it reminds me that it's just a matter of time and we will all be turning that same age. So, I try not to think of her as old because I know come August it will be my turn.
I love this picture of LaNell for so many reasons. Probably the biggest is that she was so focused on picking out the jelly bellies that she liked that I had time to get my camera and take a picture. And she was still going strong.
Me and LaNell.
An obvious Girl's Camp picture. This picture poses a lot of questions. Like, why did we feel the need to pull our sweats down to our knees? (Better question, why were we both wearing sweats at the lake?). Why did the person taking this picture only get half of us in it? I think this was my Adventurer year because I sported my safety whistle all week long.
This picture is a typical LaNell picture. She loves to be outside and going stuff like this. The reason I put this picture up is because it reminds me of the knee board incident...for which I am still sorry. We were on the lake and LaNell was getting back into the boat and was handing me the knee board (the more I think about it, this accident was half her fault because why on Earth did she think I could handle pulling it back up onto the boat?). Anyway, it slipped out of my hands and went crashing right into her head, leaving a nice little bump. I know she wanted to be mad at me, but she was so nice. Thanks LaNell for not hating me.

And I love this picture because I know how much LaNell loves her family. Senior year softball. LaNell and Caleb. Isn't it so sweet? (I'd like to see them share an ice chest now!!!)

Happy Birthday Lan. You are a great example of integrity to me. Hope this day brings you happiness. Love ya.

3 I've got something to say:
Thanks for the birthday wish. I forgot all about you dropping that kickboard on my head. Good thing I didn't care what I looked like(girls camp picture is a great example of that)and so the bump didn't phase me.
Angelee, I love your memory. I am so glad that my friends remember fun stuff because it helps me remember our lives!
That is so typical, that pic of her and the jelly bellies!
