my dad's birthday

My dad turned 70 today. Crazy old huh? Anyway, anyone who knows my dad knows he marches to the beat of his own drum (that's the nicest way I could put it). Well, it's safe to say that he is getting crazier in his old age. For this birthday he decided that he wanted the whole family to catch a train (where on Earth would one even catch a train in this area???) to Utah so we could go to a Brazilian restaurant. When I questioned the sanity of his plan his response was, "Well, it's more comfortable than the Grey Hound." Needless to say, nobody got on board with the whole train to Utah idea and we're taking him somewhere local tonight.

Here are just a few of the things my dad has been known to say that make us laugh over and over again. Love ya Dad!!!
~"Let's go to the Ritz for an ice cream comb" Let's go to Rite Aid for an ice cream cone
~" A Hong was on his cell phone and hit me with his car" A Hmong was on his cell phone and hit me with his car.
~"I called down there to that compost and didn't get an answer" I called down there to that Comcast and didn't get an answer.
~"I went and saw that Henry Porter movie" I went and saw that Harry Potter movie
~"I am a hundred bercent sure" I am a hundred percent sure
~"Son, how do you spell adakit?" Son, how do you spell advocate?

~"Son, take me over to that new trick n' trade" Son, take me over to that new Trader Joe's

(the funniest part of the whole conversation was that Sam knew exactly what he meant!!!)
