hello. long time no see. well, besides you making it on espn when byu lost big time. speaking of byu, wasn't it your new byu shirt that I accidentally spilled my melted chap stick on on the way back from chico? you were so mad, you ripped the chap stick out of my hand and threw it out the window. as if that somehow made us even. i still feel bad about that.
your family is so cute. they love you so much. you are sure blessed to have them. I ran into your mom and dad in the checkout at costco. (well, I first saw them getting samples, but I knew not to bother them then) Your dad starts talking about something...and I just busted up laughing. Not really at what he was saying (ok, sorta at what he was saying) but because I could hear your laugh, kind of with your head back, shaking your head while explaining your dad. dads...gotta love them.
and then the night I was living with my mom after my parents had split. I was having a hard time and you came over....we talked and you read Helaman 5:12 to me. That was a turning point in my transition with my family situation. whenever I read that scripture now, I think of you and what you did for me and I am grateful for the peace you brought to my life. I don't know if I ever thanked you for that, but it makes up for all the greasy hands, spilled yogurt, broken light bulbs that you had previously brought to my life.
happy birthday than. i hope you get to laugh a lot and make memories that you'll look back on and smile about.
love,
pilar

2 I've got something to say:
That was such a thoughtful post. He really appreciated it when he read it, but we were at sushi and he didn't comment. You have the BEST memory! But even I can remember that chapstick story. Classic.
You NEVER lived with me after I left Glen Ave. Get you facts straight, girl.
