Nun

Nun and I have been reading in the book of Joshua for our scripture study. (Joshua is the son of Nun; so Nick has a new nickname) . I read from Joshua when I was in seminary, but I don't feel like I know him. I want to learn of his character so we can teach Joshie about good attributes of people with the same name. He wasn't named after the prophet Joshua, but I want to teach him that he can still try to be like him.

These two are such good friends. I have to answer the question "Nae Nae up?" many times a day... NOT YET!!! He is gentle with her and she thinks he is so funny. And who knows why they are posing with wipes containers? It looks like I put them out as props...I did not. That's just the way things are around here. Charlee loves to eat...her favorite right now are graham crackers. Her face lights up. Yes, there are teeth in there. Two more are so close to breaking through. She army crawls everywhere, but just lately she's started to do the rock. She gets up and rocks, but hasn't actually crawled yet. She said dada yesterday. She is such a joy.

And yes, you are seeing this correctly. Joshua is on the potty. It's no longer a battle. No more begging. No more waiting. No more fights. And sometimes he wakes up from the night or from a nap dry. Those are exciting times. He is the pee pee police however. When ANYONE (visitors included) go pee pee there is a celebration. He wants to see, he tells you good job and gets you a treat. Now, he insists on reading for the 30 seconds he's on the pot. Whatever it takes. We are so proud of him. Now, how do we transition to pooing on the potty too?

They say no two snowflakes are the same. Joshua came home from school with this snowflake he made all by himself...somehow that's easy to believe.

Shom is in a dress up phase: elbow pads, zoo straw hat, bike helmet, baby sunglasses and what you can't see, Nick's belt and a buzz backpack. He runs through the house on special "mishmins" (missions). And on a good note. He's been using 5 word sentences lately. Usually it's telling us what he doesn't want, but heck, I'll take what I can get.

I laughed out loud about the snowflake. :) Also love the pic of them posing with their wipes.
