double date.

...that is what I'm choosing to call it. I've been on many "dates" that don't resemble a date at all. Like, when I agreed to help my mom with something she said, "Ok, it's a date". I'm thinking, if helping her make flashcards for her first graders qualifies as a date...so did this. we had fun. it was mikila's birthday. we went to the rice hole (as nick calls it) and came back to our house to play nertz and stab at some fudge. I don't want to go into details about who won and who LOST every game because it was HER birthday and that wouldn't be nice. So, I'll just leave it at this...there was yelling and dashing of cards. don't everyone look too excited at once.

i just had to take a pic of michael's dinner. nasty. I don't know how he ate it. But, there was a lesson to be learned. the thing in there that he didn't want to eat (and to that I say, there was only one thing?) turned out to be his favorite. So, don't judge a book, your raw fish or friends by appearances alone.
happy 30th birthday mikila. i hope my beyonce single ladies dance was a sufficient birthday offering. after all, you wouldn't let me wear the bells and whistles into the restaurant.

2 I've got something to say:

As long as there is food and fun then that qualifies as a date in my book. Glad you all had fun. :)

There is always dashing of cards with Nertz, right? (were you doing the dashing? somehow I picture you doing that with a bird look in your eye)...I love how enthused they look--Happy b-day Mikila!
