labor day weekend.

it has been a pretty low key labor day weekend. no big plans. just projects at home and hanging out with nick and the kids. you know it's a holiday weekend though...those darn cops are out in full force and gas prices are up. church. bbq tomorrow. i invited nick to a folding party (he knows what that means...LAUNDRY) tomorrow and he just kinda did a low muffled growl. Not exactly what he wants to do a day off I guess. My mom and I did go to the temple on Saturday. I took some pictures for my next project. This is one of them. I just really wanted the picture in my house to be one that I took myself. mom and I sure had fun...just the two of us. Not really flattering of either one of us, but what self picture looking into the sun is?

I cut charlee's bangs tonight. They were pretty OOC. She instantly looked older. Oh, my baby girl isn't so baby anymore. (Don't worry, I didn't cut the sides, it's just pulled back)

and then there is josh. he thinks he is booker. booker is sam's dog. they rolled together, chased bones together, begged together. Josh even wore bookie's collar. Sam, Lindsay and Bookie stopped by cause they bought him an orange action hero shirt...two of my least favorite things. orange shirts and character shirts. oh well. he LOVED it.

and tonight was the night that jo and darryl came over to finally hang up my birthday present. she made the wire art tree and he hung it up. so nice. i love it. i just look at it and smile. i'm going to put little framed family pictures on it. I figure it's a way to have pictures of family that aren't huge that we can rotate in and out.
