my little helper.

It was fun having Kate here visiting. Cyndi went to Florida and Ben had to work=CA vacation for Kate. She is a sweet little girl. Her parents were so excited to see her again. She had too much fun to really miss them, but she was sure happy to see them too. Joshua's new "thing" is to go camping. He gets pillows, flashlights, sleeping bags, and food and pretends to sleep in random places. This time, it was out on the hard patio. Last time, in the front room...and there was a camping accident that time. The costco sized syrup he packed in his backpacked spilled...all over our carpet. We are still trying to get it out.

Chars spends all morning cleaning...usually dusting or putting away Tupperware. Yesterday she gathered a whole armful of bibs, burp cloths, bandannas, dishcloths and socks. I wondered what she was doing until I looked down and my arms were full of clean dishcloths I was carrying downstairs. She is so cute.

And we have temporarily moved her kitchen downstairs. She loves to cook and clean. She was spending so much time upstairs alone playing, that I decided to bring it down so we could cook and clean together. It's great fun.

Is that even considered a puddle? Well, they found it and got all wet. Those girls...
I have all my Halloween decorations out. And Nick and Josh decorated the outside too. Josh loves all the festivities. Me too. We are getting a new king size bed (i know, about time). I don't really want a new matching set of furniture...I want to find some pieces that I like...paint them...distress them and do it myself. I'm having trouble finding anything I like. craigslist is failing me. any ideas? I did find one out there that I like. Pottery barn. white. $500. I think Nick would have my neck if I wanted to paint it if we bought that. so, my search continues. I don't want to post my current set if I'm not finding anything to replace it with.
Becky bought Josh a Dash costume. He has been wearing it since he got it. Today is picture day at his school and I think he thinks he is going to wear it in his picture. This should be interesting. He runs everywhere he goes and he doesn't respond to Josh. He reminds me, "mom, I dash".

2 I've got something to say:

my friends go to a site called knockoff wood or something like that and it tells you how to make pottery barn furniture all by yourself. they made a bed set for under 200 when it cost 1500 at pottery barn. might be worth a try.

Wish Ava was into cleaning! Ava's goal in life is to scatter tupperware into every random corner of my house.
