nae's world as of late

"charlee is a big girl"....that is what josh is telling everyone. strangers even. he is so proud of her. we have begun to potty train her. she doesn't tell us when she has to go, but if we happen to ask her when she does have to go, she'll go in and go. and then, oh how we celebrate. we clap. we cheer. we eat m&ms. she gets to put on a pull up and the biggest reward of all...she gets to flush the toilet.as of saturday nap nae still used a pacifier in bed. we have had conversations about the fact that it was going to end soon because she is a big girl...not a baby. in response she'd say, "but, I love my pacifier." what do you say to that? so, I sat her down and and I cut the tip off her pacifier. she immediately started yelling, "fix it mama". she put it in her mouth and tried to suck on it...it was such a disappointment. She took it out and chucked it down the stairs and went to find Nick to tell on me. all in all, she's been sleeping fine...but we still have to talk about it...all the time. "mama cu ma paf-fire" in a tattle tale voice.

oh yeah, and she heaved herself out of her bed. she was put there until she could calm down. to nick's surprise, out she waltzed...still as mad as a hornet. All day she told everyone that came over, "I do it myself". I feel like I cursed myself because just that day at church I was talking with a friend and we were both saying how our kids have never tried to get out...and I didn't knock on wood and look what happened. that same day. I guess a big girl bed is our next transition.

here she is in her princess pull ups. and in case you didn't know, when you wear princess pull ups you automatically ARE a princess....so she has informed us.

4 I've got something to say:

So darn cute! Don't do it - don't get her out of the crib yet!

haha, I'm still laughing. I love when I get 'told' on.

"...still mad as a hornet..." is what got me laughing out loud.

So mean! I'm sending Lizzie over with her pacifiers when the time comes, but she has to "seep" there too! Glad it worked out ok! Good job on the potty training! Good luck too!
