Joshua and I went to his doctor's appointment. We were there for one and a half hours (backed up and crazy). By the time we finally left...we were both ready to leave. Joshie weighs 27 lbs. and is 33'' tall and he got two immunizations. Dr. Wassermann told us that 18 months old (on average) know between 30-40 words. Well, Joshua is coming right along with his 5 words. We're not worried because he understands so many things. Perhaps he is a little babied around here and he has no need for language...he has figured out that pointing works just fine. Actually, he talks all the time, it's us that doesn't understand him. The doctor also told us that Joshua is harder to get to cooperate that most kids his age. What does he mean by that? We like to believe that he is a little opinionated. But, I do believe that doctor used the word stubborn. Just because Joshie swiped at him, pushed the chair into his leg and stompped his feet?

4 I've got something to say:
dont worry.. lol we choose to call Eli "stong-willed" it sounds so much nicer than "hyper-active crazy kid". boys will be boys.
So because he didn't like that some stranger was poking and prodding him he is stubborn?? Really, he should be happy that Joshie isn't just going to get along with some random stranger. It sounds more like good parenting and that he is aware a shot is coming his way. My kids never talk to strangers...I do feel bad when it is some old person trying to see them smile, but, in all honesty, I am glad they aren't comfortable talking to strangers.
THat is too funny, I'm glad he swiped at the doctor! (maybe he learned that from me? oh, wait, that would be the bird look) I would swipe too if I had someone shooting me up.
