first of three

can you believe my little shombie is going to be three this week. I can't believe it. Time really does fly. I try to slow down and enjoy the small things because I know I'll look back someday and miss it. Heck, I already look back and miss Joshie as a baby. I so enjoy him as a toddler though. I don't want him to get any older. Anyway...moving on. Saturday was a day of many firsts...the first of three birthday parties for josh, his first friend party...ok, I guess that is only two firsts, but still. We had a Thomas themed party (of course) and the kids semi allowed me to get a picture of them in their conductor outfits. So cute. Joshie was in heaven. The smartest thing I've ever done (well, besides going to college). cupcake cake. just pulled them apart and wa-la.

bolo was really into blowing out his candles this year (you'll see more pictures later). It took him about 10 tries to blow out three candles, but he was sooo proud of himself when he finally did!

Joshie loved his toy from the gift exchange. yes, he was as dirty as he looks.

He left his party dirty, sticky, sweaty, exhausted and extremely happy. A perfect day for this little Thomas fan.
Happy Birthday kiddo.

3 I've got something to say:

you did a gift exchange? That is a great idea. I hate birthdays because I don't want a million more toys that I have to find a spot for and clean up. Plus I hate that people spend their money on a toy when my kids don't need them anyway. How did it work? I might have to use that idea when my kids have another birthday party.
