"stand"

my little man is getting so big. It was my goal to have him potty trained by the new year. We were pretty darn close. I just didn't feel like fighting it. And, when he was ready...there was no fight at all. I would say that he's pretty independent right now. He doesn't wear a pull up at all. Not even at night. He actually goes poo on the potty too. And now, his newest thing...he doesn't need me to go in with him anymore. At the beginning he would sit and go pee. Every time I would ask him, "Do you want to sit or stand?" It was mostly always sit. Now, you can't make him sit. Today he told me he had to go and and I said, "well, go then" and he did!!! I know he isn't the first kid to ever be potty trained and he doesn't have extra cool bathroom tricks, but it's a big deal at our house and we are sure proud of him.

6 I've got something to say:

That is awesome! I can't wait for my Josh to be potty trained (my goal is before the new baby arrives.) He will go from time to time if you ask, like after a bath, but it takes some persuasion. Hopefully he will just be ready one day and start wanting to go on his own.

Potty training is a HUGE deal and when it finally clicks, it is the best feeling in the world. I can still remember how great it felt with each one of my kids. It was exciting for days when it happened. It is probably one of the best days in parenting!!

pacen still sits to pee. occasionally he'll stand, but that is the rare occasion. I keep wondering when it'll sink in that boys don't usually sit. Great part is that he never missses. :)

I am super proud of Shom. I wont say that Eli is potty trained because he still wears a diaper to sleep. Other than that hes on his own all day. I just dont know how to get him to get up and use the bathroom... How did you do it?
