thirty

I turned 30 yesterday. It was a nice peaceful day. I spent the day with the kids. Leah brought me some yum cookies and I got a ton of texts and birthday wishes...so thank you everyone for that. Then the fun began. Stephanie came and got the kids at 4 (thanks becky and stephanie for watching them). I got a massage from Mikila and a pedicure from Liz.Next, we headed off to do some shopping. The only thing is that I didn't get to pick out my clothes...I only had the power of 3 vetos. Then we went into the Sear's bathroom (purposefully picked for it's close location to the exit) and all got ready.

Next, we went back to my house for a fun 80's party...full of pop rocks, twister, pegged pants and side pony tails. Those girls (raeanne and liz) decorated so cute.

Sam and Lindsay. My favorite quote of his of the night, "I'm even sweating under my shoulder pads!!!". so funny.

And of course the night wasn't complete without a game of twister. first the boys.

Next, they sang happy birthday. so nice.

Next, we headed to Cal-Skate. The funny part is that the night before, Nick and I were driving down the freeway and I told him that I secretly wished we could go skating for my birthday...he played it off, knowing that it was really in the works for the next night.

and I'm so glad erica and than came. I don't know how I feel that I got the exact shirt that erica is wearing 7 months pregnant for my birthday tonight. I hope I can wear it now :)
