First Day of School

Joshua started school today. What a fun day for him. He was super excited. Once we were there with all those kids he didn't know I could feel him become unsure of this whole school thing. But, I think I stayed just long enough for him to feel comfortable. I kissed him (cause I won't be able to do that forever) and off I went. And as I went, I passed the wall-o-crying moms. I'm glad I wasn't one of those moms. At least, not this time. Just happy that he's happy.

At his new table with his new name tag. There are 28 kids in his class. Only 8 of them are girls. It's a boy year!!! Poor Nick is out of town this week and missed this fun day. That's ok...he can take Charlee in 3 LONG years. (she thought she was going this year!)

and as for me...you forget to blog for a while and all your friends start drawing their own conclusions...we've been busy. for one, it's been shark week and that can be a full time commitment. :) We went camping at Lake Almanor. Josh and Charlee love being on the boat. Josh even went tubing. It's my birthday week. I may have to reschedule all the festivities for the week after my birthday because it's been no fun with Nick gone. Charlee is something else...so opinionated. so strong willed and talks NON-STOP. It's hard for me not to be offended when Nick says that she is just like me. He said, "she's bossy. she's mean. she has to have her way...but we all love to have her around." The other day I was in the grocery store and Josh and Charlee were in the cart. I turned around to yelling...Charlee had him in a headlock trying to put pink, sparkly chap stick on him. And he had his neck strained back as far as he could... yelling, "I'm not a girl!!!" It's hard not to laugh.
oh yeah, and my mom is getting married. But, I'll save that for another post. :)
