Golden school day

What do you call the first day of first grade??? Well, besides really long and tiring...it was Joshua's golden school day! He is so happy to be in first grade...well actually, let's be honest, he loves having 3!!! recesses. He had no idea! He has learned something valuable every day so far...and I'm not talking academically either. Another word for "peeking" is called cheating, the money on his account is for milk, not second lunch and wood chips are slick when they are on the pavement!!!

And right now the kids are "camping"...which is a fancy word for filling their backpacks with snack food and eating it all on their sleeping bags. And somehow flashlights are involved, but I'm not quite sure how they play in yet!!!
