from christmas until now...

Our Christmas card picture shoot was miserable for most involved...well, actually for all involved. It was cold. Josh didn't want to change out of his apartment pants. Nae didn't want to be told what to do. Nick didn't know why we had to do it in the first place and I was so concerned trying to make everyone be in one place at one time...smiling, I didn't even put any makeup on...FOR OUR CHRISTMAS CARD. What's that about. oh well. Next year I'll be all glorious and done up and the rest of them will be in jammies, fish shirts and with cookies all over their faces. I love this little girl. There is no making her do anything she doesn't want to do...that includes smiling, keeping her clothes on or sharing.

and this little boy. so sweet. so concerned. so funny. so smart. so handsome. so eager to be a good boy and make us proud. so impressionable (we've had to have the talk about inappropriate dance moves since he's picked up the 'bad guy' dance from Despicable Me)

me and my kids. For Christmas we went to Fort Bragg with my family. Both Josh and Charlee loved the beach. Nae was determined to get close to the water. She got too close for comfort in Josh's opinion. He threw his body in front of her and said, "No Nae. SHARKS!!!" It was pretty funny.

and this was the last picture before charlee fell in the ocean...nothing worse than wet and sandy jeans. and that ended the day at the beach.

what a happy little girl. she loves her bed. she loves her stuffed animals. and I love getting this little girl up from her nap....when it's happy nae and not angry nae. she is getting so big so fast.
today has been a good day. I went to lunch at spiteri's. I went to the gym. Charlee and I went to Costco while Josh was at school. She wore both her shoes and socks and stayed seated in the cart the whole time...it only took a bag of Doritos. I am not above negotiations so I consider it a success. I made broccoli and homemade mac and cheese for dinner and then we stopped at baskin robbins on our way home from the gym (don't judge). I loaded and unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, did three loads of laundry, folded laundry and made Jo and Darryl dinner too. Busy...but good.

2 I've got something to say:

Loved your Christmas card, I was even told by a few people that stopped by it was super cute! So one of these days when I come back to California we need to hang out!

No one knew you didn't have make up on because you changed your picture to black and white . . . is that why you did it? It was super cute! Don't worry, I certainly don't judge you . . . I just ate the rest of my bag of bliss chocolates. :)
