Do you want to know a sure way to feel old and out of it. Go shopping for a CD player or "boom box" if you will, in Chico. First I went to Wal-Mart. I was so disgusted with the selection that I went to Target. Well, at least at Wal-Mart I had a terrible selection. At Target not only did I buy the only option, I bought the last one. When I asked where I could find a CD player the guy said, "Like a boom box" as he motioned to be holding it on his shoulder. I said, "yes, but less 1980's and more 1999". The 12 year old sales associate explained to me that "these days, when looking at upgrading people usually go digitally". To which I said, "I'm not looking to upgrade. I'm maintaining...with kids!!!" And while I was still in that aisle, I overheard another middle aged person (I guess that's what I am now) asking for the same thing. I quickly turned my cart around and left...with my "boom box" safely in MY cart.

Ohhh... I sooooo feel you. The other day my friend and I were walking in chico and I got hit on by a little boy. I said "No no no, Im way too old for you. How old are you?" he replied "18.. how old are you?" "25" "Oh... well you look good for your age I guess" And walked away. My age? MY AGE!?!?! I felt like I was being congratulated for still being able to walk in my elderly state. : (
