Liam Acebo Petersen

Look at me blogging. It has taken me long enough...geesh. So, today Liam is 13 days old. Wow, that has gone pretty fast. I don't know if it's because he's my third or what, but things have been the easiest with him. I'm not constantly tired. I shower on a regular basis and I only wear sweats everyday because I choose to, not because I'm barely surviving. He sleeps. Well, he of course gets up to eat, but he goes back to bed. Thank you Liam. He eats well. He is so much fun. Josh and Charlee love him to death. Always kissing him and Nae is always asking to "pet" him. Resulting in him catching their colds. He has a goopy eye...poor guy. He is our first that actually sleeps in the car...hallelujah. He is still so small...I haven't taken him anywhere public yet.

don't mind the blood and guts in the background of this picture...I was just getting cut in half. I had a c-section and I am so blessed that I recover so quickly. I was up moving around that same day and by day 5 I took myself off all my pain medicine. I wasn't suppose to drive for 2 weeks. That felt like forever. But I figure if I can do laundry, sweep the floor, take the garbage out and go up and down the stairs a gazillion times a day there is no reason why I can't drive. So I have been.
Our family of five. Look at all those kids. I'm not overwhelmed, but when I see us in a picture it makes me feel like we have our hands full. That's what the FedEx guy told me yesterday when I answered the door. "let me bring this in and put it down for you...it looks like you have your hands full." I know people are just trying to be helpful, but nobody wants to hear that it looks like they have their hands full...btw.
And not to brag...but I wore jeans. Pre Liam jeans. Ok, not really pre Liam if I'm going to be completely honest, but probably pre charlee...which means, they are bigger than the size I was before Liam and bigger than the size I hope to be someday, but the fact that I put jeans on that had a button and zipper and not a stretchy panel felt so good.
Nick took the first week off after the baby was born. That was nice. It was also spring break for Joshua. He was kinda bummed because we didn't do much. The weather was cold and rainy and we stayed home a lot. And this week Charlee has been going to her little daycare everyday. It's been very nice for me. And she loves it there, so it's a win-win. Our ward has been taking good care of us...lots of yummy dinners. And we have great friends and family who have taken our kids and done random stops with treats in hand. It's been very nice. My mom even got me a new babyliss flat iron...score. i love it.

Babies are the best! I'm so happy for you. Were all your babies c-section? I couldn't remember. Just so you know...the third one is always great. It's a bit of a trick by Heavenly Father so that you will keep having more. For some reason one is wonderful, two is a challenge but you know you want more, the third is great making you think 'let's have another' and then the fourth is fun but you start to question if another is really a smart move for your sanity but you also don't want to end on a difficult baby. Before you know it you've had five kids and might as well go for more since you've already bought an extra large van anyway. It is a slippery slope and it's all because that third baby is wonderful. Liam already sounds amazing so watch yourself! :) You look awesome in that last picture with Liam.

If I had a dolllar for every time I've heard that I had my hands full......I've made it a point to never use that phrase towards anyone ever! Congratulations on baby Liam! I need to plan a trip up to the ville to see you and that new addition of yours. And what is it with us girls and getting into jeans. Its the thing I look forward to the most after having a baby and let me tell ya, it's not 13 days after I've had a baby. That's awesome. That's really great that you have a sweet little baby to hold and snuggle with. Enjoy it. I love you. I'm glad everything went well.

I am totally amazed! After I had a c-section, I felt like death for much longer than 13 days. You look great and Liam is a cutie!!!
