yesterday might just have been as close to perfect as possible. it was such a nice easter. we all had pink matching outfits (nick was a good sport) but we didn't manage a pic. The night before we practiced the primary song that josh was going to sing in sacrament meeting the next day {did jesus really live again}and we were able to have a nice little teaching moment about the real reason we celebrate Easter. Their simple understanding of the resurrection is so sweet. In reality, that's probably what Heavenly Father thinks of my understanding of many things. My ability to comprehend what He knows is probably a simple sweet understanding as well. Anyway, Liam and I went to Sacrament meeting. It was nice to be back. It was such a relaxing day. Kids were excited. They got along. Liam napped. And then at three we had our families over to celebrate Easter and Charlee's birthday. Her actual birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated yesterday because we were all going to be together anyway. She was so polite. So sweet. So fun to be around. So not our usual Charlee. Perhaps this has only been a phase. Maybe she really is the "sweet little princess" that Mike refers to her as.
Her new princess dress from Mike and Shannon. As soon as she opened it, she put it on. Then she went right over to her shoe box and got her sparkly shoes to put on. Then she changed her white headband to pink...and she has been wearing this outfit ever since. Yes, it's a whole day later.
Josh and Charlee. Such good friends. Josh is so sweet to his sister. He was so excited for her that it was her birthday. She is lucky to have such a loving big brother. She really does get away with a lot.
We have enrolled Charlee in a ballet class. It was a major accomplishment to get her to wear the pink tights and leotard. We can't call them tights because it has the word 'tight' in it and we have major battles with things being too tight. So, they are size 6 "leggings" and we had to buy a second leotard because the first was was too tight as well. I had to sit in the class with her and she didn't do anything but watch. She thinks that perhaps she'll be able to actually dance next time. Good thing there is a cookie shop next door...I'm not above bribery.

1 I've got something to say:
Hey, why didn't you tell me you were putting Charlee in Ballet? I might have considered it for Campbell!
